Dayton resident Klonda Richey, mauled to death by her neighbor's dogs.
The family of Dayton resident Klonda Richey, mauled to death by her neighbor's dogs last February, has filed a lawsuit against the owners of the dogs that killed her. The family seeks at least $25,000 plus attorney's fees.
Dog owners Andrew Nason and Julie Custer have not yet been charged, the case was scheduled to be taken to the grand jury.
You may recall that Ms. Richey filed complaint after complaint about the dogs with Montgomery County animal control and with Dayton police, video taped Nason menacing her with the dogs, and filed for a civil protection order against Nason. Ms. Richey was failed by Montgomery County Animal Control and the Montgomery justice system.
